About Author Cameron Sidhe

Cameron Sidhe (pronounced “shee”) is an author from Cleveland, Ohio.

The burning blue skies of the Illinois prairie were Sidhe’s introduction to imagination, as she envisioned what may lay beyond the clouds of her tiny childhood town.

Sidhe wrote her first story at age seven, featuring a gumdrop-eating unicorn who lived in a treehouse. No one’s sure what the plot was, but it did win the elementary school writing contest.

She also climbed quite a few trees herself, much to everyone’s dismay.

With series like Redwall as her early teachers, Sidhe immersed herself in fantasy worlds and dreamed of one day making her own. Many embarrassing literary attempts followed, none of which will see the light of day.

Her passion for wordcraft took Sidhe to University of Illinois-Chicago, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English. While at UIC, she studied abroad at University of Stirling, Scotland, which instilled the fierce love for Celtic culture that thrums through her series, the Eirenic Verses.

Sidhe went on to earn a Master of Arts in Global Interactions at Cleveland State University, writing her thesis on international human trafficking. Not only did this experience teach Sidhe that she will never be a politician, but it also helped her understand the complicated tangle of domination, coercion, and influence that underlies international relations.

Both during her studies and after, Sidhe wrote fiction and worked as a writing tutor, securing both the experience and craft necessary to undertake her novel series. Over a million practice words later, she embarked on the Eirenic Verses.

Sidhe enjoys horseback riding, rock climbing, knitting, and snuggling her pit bulls. She relaxes by daydreaming about horrible things happening to fictional characters.

While she claims to love all the characters of the Eirenic Verses equally, her favorite is Mordrek Willets.

As a passionate Ohio advocate, Sidhe will accept no slander about her adopted state.
