It is every author’s dream to have their work spread across the world. And it is my utter delight to see this happening.
My first book, 9 Years Yearning, has been downloaded by readers from multiple countries, including:
- Australia
- Brazil
- Canada
- France
- India
- Japan
- Mexico
- Netherlands
- United Kingdom
… which is incredible to me.
I can’t say with certainty that readers from each of these countries have actually read the book; after all, many people download a copy of something and never look at it again. I am perpetually guilty of this.
Regardless, even knowing that my work sits on devices around the world is so touching. It’s more than I ever could have imagined when I began this journey.
When I write, I am constantly thinking about my potential audience: what they love or hate, which character they’ll like the most. I work hard to include just enough detail to intrigue but not annoy, understanding that people like to infuse what they’re reading with their own perspectives. Each word is carefully considered for maximum enjoyment.
I write not just for myself, but to help others have a moment’s reprieve from their difficult days. My hope is that you’ll find yourself immersed in this unique world, forgetting about whatever is bothering you.
You, my reader, are the most important thing to me when I write.
Not my bank account, not my ego, not my self-esteem. After all, writing is not a very lucrative profession anymore, and I need something more than self-gratification to keep me going.
When you get to the last page, I hope you take a deep breath and say (in whatever your native tongue may be), “wow, what time is it?” That is worth every minute I spend writing.
My deepest love and thanks to you for taking a chance on my books. I know that life can be very hard, and that you must be selective with how you spend your time. Your willingness to dedicate a few hours – or even a few minutes – to my stories is absolutely precious to me.
I appreciate you more than you could possibly know.
And I hope you will stick with me throughout the rest of this series, enjoying a fraction of the happiness it brings me to give you these books.
If you’re willing, I welcome you to leave a review. They’re so helpful for gaining visibility on Amazon, and I appreciate every single one.
